Bolgarian cucumbers for the winter

Today I want to share the fast and, in my opinion, the most successful recipe for pickled cucumbers in Bolgarian without sterilization. Cucumbers are crispy, sweet and sour and moderately piquant. Due to the addition of carrots, the workpiece looks beautiful and bright.

Ingredients

  • Cucumbers 2 kg
  • Carrots 4 pcs.
  • Onion 2 pcs.
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Dill 8 umbrellas
  • Horseradish (leaves) – 2 pcs.
  • Black pepper (grains) – 30 pcs.
  • Water 2 L
  • Vinegar (9%) – 180 ml
  • Sugar 7 tbsp.
  • Salt 3 tbsp.

A step -by -step recipe for cooking

Pre-soak the cucumbers in cold water for 2-3 hours. Then rinse the fruits, cut the tails.

Rinse the greens and slightly dry. Cut the onion in large slices. Clean the carrots, cut into circles or strips.

At the bottom of pre -sterilized jars, place coarsely chopped horseradish leaves, dill umbrellas, bay leaf and peas of black pepper. Add chopped onions.

Fill the banks tightly with cucumbers, placing chopped carrots between them.

Boil water and pour the vegetables in banks with boiling water. Cover the jars with sterile lids and leave for warming for 15 minutes.

Drain the water from the cans to the stewpan, boil again and again pour boiling water on the vegetables in banks. Leave for 15 minutes.

Prepare the marinade: drain the water from the cans to the stewpan, add salt and sugar (pay attention to the recipe, the amount of ingredients for the marinade is designed for 2 liters of water), bring to a boil and boil for a couple of minutes. Enter vinegar, mix and remove the marinade from the heat.

Boiling marinade pour vegetables in banks to the top. Roll the jars, turn upside down, wrap it up and leave until completely cooled. Store cooled cucumbers in Bolgarian in a cool dark place.
