Bulgur with mushrooms and onions

Prepare a bulgur with mushrooms and onions for lunch or dinner. This is a hearty and healthy wheat porridge. You can make it more viscous or more crumbly, adjusting the amount of fluid. Mushrooms are suitable for any. They can also be fresh or frozen.

Ingredients

  • Mushrooms 100 g
  • Onion 1 piece
  • Bulgur 70 g
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 20 ml
  • Salt to taste
  • Spices and seasonings to taste
  • Greens for serving

A step -by -step recipe for cooking

Put the previously washed bulgur. You can cook in an ordinary pan or in a slow cooker, taking two parts of water on one part of the cereal. Slide the water. After about 20 minutes, the bulgur will be ready.

Wash and cut the mushrooms. Peel and chop the onion with small cubes.

In a pan, hot oil. Send fry mushrooms with onions. Reduce the fire and fry for about 5 minutes, stirring.

Pour 70 ml of water or broth. Throw a pinch of spices and salt, put out the mushrooms for about 10 minutes. If desired, you can leave more liquids.

Transfer mushrooms and onions to a pan with a bulgur. Mix everything.

Serve a side dish in an independent form, or add a portion with fresh vegetables, pickles, herbs.
